This cedar and night maroon edition of the Nike Daybreak Shoes have been constructed using materials inspired by the late 1970’s original which are enhanced by bright colour pops of neon green and team orange. Night maroon coloured suede wraps around the front of the toes and back of the heel for abrasion resistance whilst also being selected for the lace border which holds bright green coloured cotton laces. The rest of the uppers are made from nylon mesh and an elongated synthetic leather Swoosh tick sits on either side of the foot, alternating between team orange and blue. The lightweight nylon tongue is slightly padded for comfort and a white woven label wraps around the top edge showing stylised ‘Nike’ lettering enhanced by an alternating gradient style fill. On the back of the heel a curved synthetic faux insert provides a background for bold ‘Nike’ lettering in green and the inner border of the ankle is lined with white synthetic leather for a deluxe effect. For all day comfort the foam midsole brings light cushioning to the design whilst being bulk free and the famous rubber waffle outsole continues up the front of the toes and heel for traction and durability.

Arriving as part of the Nike’s archival collection which brings back classics that have stood the test of time, this edition of the Daybreak boast an old school look with stylised graphics and original materials selected for the similarity to the original model. First introduced in 1979, the Daybreak has become a casual streetwear style recognised for its protruding waffle outsole, old school aesthetic and part within running history as worn by record breaking American runner Joan Benoit Samuelson.
